Not helped by the fact that this guy:

Who is in charge of the USA Disaster Agency, apparently doesn't know that the USA has a hurricane season.
He has said it was a joke. Many people feel that he looks like the sort of person who doesn't know what a joke is...

Unlike Biden, who offered around $700 per household if they applied first after hurricanes in South Carolina. Under Biden, Fema actively discriminated against Trump supporting households who had signs in the run up to the elections

Good they only got offered $700 dollars or the Trump supporters got looked over?

If it's the latter, Trump made a quick decision and sent billions in aid to everyone in SC

FEMA is getting f*cked over by Trump. So everyone is more vulnerable. The head of FEMA didn't know there was a hurricane season in the US. Another malicious incompetent in charge of an agency.

Fema weren't doing their main objective, most of their funding was being diverted

$750 was the initial portion of the settlement offer. Not the final total for each claim.

Just imagine, your whole house, possessions has just been blown or washed away and you're offered $750 and you have to apply for it.

Rather a paltry insulting offer. No money, but food and shelter would have been far more happily received

First part of a settlement. Not everyone lost everything. How would you have handled it?

Musk's little tantrum over Trump seems to me very revealing, highlighting a massive shortcoming in US and probably UK and probably elsewhere politics. These mega wealthy seem to consider their political donations are buying something eg having Government financial policy designed for their personal interest. Musk throwing everything out of his pram because Trump is showing "such ingratitude" as this bill does not meet his personal aims/wishes. He believes and explicitly states Trump would have lost without him and seems to regard that as having paid for the financial policies he as he wants them.

Mega wealthy buying politicians to have Government policy aims for their best interests. Is there any ciable fiture for such western democtacy?

It's even worse if you are injured by the hurricane. You have to pay for your medical care as well. It's the American way.

And as usual you are talking complete bollocks. The $750 is an emergency up front payment to get food, water, medicine etc - and yes, you have to apply for it. It doesn't require a triplicate form and 3 months of processing, just a quick - yes I need relief aid.

Even Al Jazeera are capable of telling truth from fiction

Are hurricane victims only getting $750?

Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance have repeatedly highlighted a $750 payment from Fema to hurricane victims, often contrasting it with the money the US government spends on Ukraine or on illegal migrants.
“They promised $750 to American citizens who have lost everything,” Vance said at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
It is true that the victims are getting $750 but some context is needed.
This is just one type of assistance provided by Fema.
The $750 is what people can get as an upfront payment, external to help cover the costs of food, water, medication, and other emergency supplies.
Following this initial payment, disaster victims may receive additional funds following a Fema assessment.
This can go towards repairing damage to homes and personal property, and to help find a temporary place to stay.
So far, Fema has said that more than $210m, external has been given to communities affected by Hurricane Helene - this includes upfront payments and money to support housing needs.

Pinno's daily sh*t show. Episode 1.
It's hard to keep up with the tragic comedy across the pond.

Corporations are shifting to law firms who did not bend the knee to Trump. From the Wall St Journal:

General counsels at various companies told the newspaper they doubted whether firms that surrendered to Trump could still be relied upon to represent them—in court or at the negotiating table—if they couldn’t stand up for themselves.
Oracle, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft and McDonald’s are reportedly among the big name businesses to distance themselves from those legal firms, either by scaling back work, voicing concerns, or parting ways (amongst others).

Meanwhile Marjory Taylor Greene said that she would not have voted for the Bill had she known that one of the clauses was deregulation of AI for a 10 year period. She hadn't read that bit.

Which leads on to Musk. The above would have suited Musk but he is opposed to the Bill.

Trump had a go at Musk from the Oval office during his meeting with the German chancellor and very recently, Musk drops the 'bombshell' saying that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files and that is why that have not been made public
'Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.'

A Musk-Trump spat. What a dream scenario.
