Yeah but as I said, if you're gonna call him out for corruption, immoral conduct, or just sheer buffoonery and being ill equipped for high office then there are plenty of his predecessors who've more than earnt their chops at all of the above. What he hasn't done (yet) and what most of them have done is to launch disastrous foreign wars and interventions that have scorched the Middle East and shaped it into the lawless, fundamentalist Hell hole that much of it has become due to American foreign policy. I get why people dislike Trump but I just don't get why all the others before him get a free pass here, and at the end of the day Americans had to choose between him and a living corpse who couldn't find his own backside with two hands and then a laughing jackass with even less intellect than Biden but without a diagnosis of advanced dementia as an excuse.

Ha! He is still a work in progress. Keep your eye on Gaza and the Middle East in general. It is bad now, it could well get worse. For the residents at least. Nobody is getting a free pass. Bush got plenty for example but he is the one messing up the entire planet right now.

PS - A living corpse or a donkey would be preferable as they would do less damage.

Today US official Government job statistics show a weak job statistics. Trump furious about this official data. Trump seeing straight to the heart of the problem and to sort it he sacks the US Government Commissioner for Job Statistics, That should sort out the problem!

Beggars belief. How can you sort a problem if you refuse to even recognise the problem and then "don't like the message, fire the messenger".

Biden had integrity. Biden did not have the insidious Project 2025 propelling the dismantling of the US constitution. He did support Ukraine. The economy was working well under him. He didn't have 34 felony convictions. He did support many red states because 'they needed it most' despite knowing that it was unlikely that it would change his popularity in those states. He didn't deport people without due process. He did not abduct immigrants off the street on a whim. He was not and never was embroiled in a global sex trafficking scandal. He put all his personal assets and money in the hands of a private financial manager (like most US presidents do) whilst being president. He did not sever medical and prescription subsidies for 16m people. He did not assemble a cabinet of malicious incompetents. He did not diminish the US in the world order. Trump is overtly lining his pockets and using his presidency as a marketing tool. He is by far, the worst US president in history bar none.

Your cynicism has some foundation but blanket cynicism without distinction is not constructive and reflects inner frailties.
Look up the 'safety blanket'.

Cynicism is a way to protect oneself from disappointment by viewing everything negatively. By convincing oneself that everything is bad, one avoids the pain of rejection and failure.

I'll repeat what I said in a different thread, do you think it cares about facts?

I did say it wasn't a defence of Trump. I'm not a fanboi. I just wonder why Trump is held to be uniquely bad given the atrocious deeds perpetrated by successive presidents over recent decades.

You could amalgamate all US presidents bad deeds in the last 50 years and you still won't have a palmares as nefarious as Trump.
Even George dublya had some endearing features: [fact] George W financed a contraception effort in Kenya as it has one of the fastest growing populations in the world. A US foreign aid project that Obama cancelled!? He also declared a huge area of coastline off the California coast as a conservation area.
I can't se a single positive out of c*nt chops and he is in his 2nd administration.

Move to protect three regions of pristine marine habitat in the Pacific Ocean are in sharp contrast to Bush administration's record on other green issues

George Bush will designate nearly 200,000 square miles of the Pacific Ocean as conservation areas on Tuesday, recasting his record on the environment just two weeks before leaving the White House.
Tuesday's formal announcement will establish Bush as the leader who has protected more of the oceans than anyone else in the world, environmentalists said.
