Are you now saying Mandleson is guilty too, by sending a card?

No, we are saying that anyone who engaged in any illegal or immoral/unethical activity as result of their dealings with a known paedophile should be exposed and face the consequences of their actions, regardless of what their political leanings are.

I think Trump world approve of the extremely creepy lyrics of the song 'Thank heaven for little girls', which is sung by an older man... "for they grow up in the most delightful ways". Just eurgh.

To be fair, in 1958 those lyrics (and indeed the film) weren't considered to be creepy. It's by today's standards that the song (and film) come across as really creepy.

I don't think Mabdlebrot has even come across as creepy before, has he?

This is a shock that is right up there with Max Mosley being into Nazi themed bondage.

For a moment I thought you were being serious

As much as this makes Mandelson look bad, at least he’s admitting he wrote the note. But distancing himself from his past relationships. Being gay has worked out well for him here.

Trump’s denial that he even wrote the note is far worse. He’s up to his neck in this.

I think Mandelson has never shied away from hobnobbing with people who he thinks have influence: that would have been the attraction.

I think I said this on another thread, will Trump's association be the one thing that really upsets his base? As he has made a very big deal in engaging in conspiracy theories with his supporters about many of his enemies, he has opened himself up to scrutiny now he is implicated in the Epstein case. Denying it all looks to a lot of his supporters like he is involved in his own conspiracy.

I'm not sure that being able to claim not to have actively participated is that good if you were aware of what was going on though. If he was aware then he is just as complicit as anyone else.

One canard that's been floated by at least one high ranking republican is that Trump remained involved with Epstein as an FBI informant. That's the kind of rubbish MAGAts lap up, and unfortunately likely to fly with them.

I wouldn't get my hopes up that Trump will suffer any harm for his association with Epstein.
