Oh look

Weak women and weak men will not make the grade to fight on the front line.

Its a life and death situation

Oh look!

Four star generals being lectured by an alcoholic former TV host.

I think Gen. Eric Smith of the Marine Corp. face says it all. He would've ripped Hegseth a new one given the chance. Someone with those medals (including a purple heart) and that look is not someone to mess with.

Another two faced far right politician .
Former South Carolina state representative and a founding member of the ultra conservative Freedom Caucus, R J May pleads guilty to 5 of 10 charges for distribution of child pornography.
A promoter of "family values", aligned with Moms for Liberty, anti LBGTQ+ causes and an advocate of government interference in state education, May is now facing jail time of between 5 and 20 years for each charge.

Retired general Hertling (of 40 years service) said of the audience at the clown show:
"These guys are automatic bullsh*t detectors".
On Hegseth:
"...not a lot of experience,"
"Listen and watch 4 times more than you speak.. which has not been what Hegseth has been doing". and what he said "...got him into trouble in that room..."
"This @ss chewing [of the implied fitness of the generals] was an insult". This from a man who installed a make up bar in the Pentagon.
On the subject of the rules of engagement where basically Hegseth said that military personnel shouldn't have to adhere to:
"If you commit crimes during combat, it diminishes your moral authority as a nation...it would cause moral injury [to the perpetrators]. The people on the ground have a moral responsibility and they know that..."
"He [Hegseth] showed a complete disregard for control and command... the rules of engagement are backed up by years of data which proves the long term effects of not following them... [the comments] were an insult to the 1 thru [sic] 4 star generals in that room."
"You have to have control and discipline in the army".

Hegseth is currently going through an IG (internal investigation) into the signal gate texts.

Hertling received messages from people within the room and many from European counterparts asking what 'the hell' was going on and the fact that they had been partners for so long.
His concerns was that both allies and foe's were watching and this clown show was hugely detrimental to the integrity of the US military.

Federal District Judge William Young has dismissed a case against the Trump administration regarding its policy of targeting pro-Palestine student activists for deportation. The ruling was issued on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Key details of the dismissal:

  • Case details: Young ruled that the Trump administration unlawfully targeted noncitizen pro-Palestine activists for deportation to silence criticism of Israel.
  • Constitutional violation: The judge stated that officials deliberately misused their powers to chill the rights to freedom of speech and assembly, violating the activists' First Amendment rights.
  • "Unequivocal 'yes'": In his ruling, Judge Young stated that noncitizens legally in the U.S. have the same free speech rights as citizens.

Google has removed searches and AI responses from people asking if Trump has dementia.

I have changed my default search engine.

Funny you should pick Hertling. Studied this, pretty much what Hegseth is advocating now.

Lieutenant General (Retired) Mark Hertling’s Master of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University, earned in 1984. This degree focused on the study of human movement, exercise science, and physical performance, which likely complemented his military career, particularly in areas like Soldier fitness, leadership in high-stress environments, and injury prevention. Hertling’s education in kinesiology aligns with his later roles, such as his appointment to the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition (2013–2017), where he advocated for physical health and readiness.

Sorry are you arguing that being physically fit is helpful for being in the army?

I think that's already a thing.

It's also helpful to know other things, like how to use a gun. I expect that's going to be in the state of the union speech.

The sh*t just keeps pouring out.

The Hill:

Lutnick: Epstein was the ‘greatest blackmailer ever'

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick called convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein the “greatest blackmailer ever” in an interview published Tuesday.

Lutnick told “Pod Force One” host Miranda Devine that Epstein was a “disgusting person” from whom he and his wife kept their distance.

The Commerce secretary, who was Epstein’s ex-neighbor, described to Devine his interaction with the financier during a tour of Epstein’s home. Lutnick said the space was centered around a massage table surrounded with candles.

“I say to him, ‘Massage table in the middle of your house? How often do you have a massage?’ And he says, ‘Every day,’” Lutnick told Devine.

“And then he like gets like weirdly close to me, and he says, ‘And the right kind of massage,” he added.
