It's actually really nice there. Main issue is that most of the companies based there aren't based there. Not sure about the people evading personal taxes.

IIRC it's the corporate tax rate that is the draw, and why Apple had billions stashed away there, unable to shift it without incurring massive tax charges.

True, but has low property tax as well. Also, doubt high net worth individuals keep very much in personal assets.

FFS what would know.

I went there once, it was quite pleasant, the houses seemed big and everything looked freshly painted. It was a bit like the set of the Truman Show.

The opposite of the kind of place I like to have a house in, as you'd know if you'd visited. I rather like benign neglect & shabby chic, and mild perpetual disorder. So I think I'll give Delaware a miss.
