It's actually really nice there. Main issue is that most of the companies based there aren't based there. Not sure about the people evading personal taxes.

IIRC it's the corporate tax rate that is the draw, and why Apple had billions stashed away there, unable to shift it without incurring massive tax charges.

True, but has low property tax as well. Also, doubt high net worth individuals keep very much in personal assets.

FFS what would know.

I went there once, it was quite pleasant, the houses seemed big and everything looked freshly painted. It was a bit like the set of the Truman Show.

The opposite of the kind of place I like to have a house in, as you'd know if you'd visited. I rather like benign neglect & shabby chic, and mild perpetual disorder. So I think I'll give Delaware a miss.

Seems that the NYT has 'legitimate concerns' about women.

That's a snapshot. I wonder what the whole article is saying. The NYT has never bent the knee to Trump and produces good journalism. It could be tongue in cheek. Have you got a subscription BT?

Texas re-districting gerrymandering looks like it may backfire on the Republicans as the Trump vote in the presidential election relied on the 24% 'Latino vote'. That 24% has swung the other way.
4 of the 5 districts will have a plurality of mainly Hispanics.
Whilst it's too late to reverse the process in Texas, other states have halted their redistricting plans in the wake of Tuesday's elections. (Kansas, Utah and Indiana)

To rub salt into the wounds, in Virginia (now very blue) democrats have plans to redistrict the state.
