Anyone who is still defending Trump or trying to justify the actions of ICE after this weekend's third execution of a US citizen is a fùcking colossal cùnt.
Like the Minnesota police officers(chief's but then the American word can't find it at the moment) said at a press conference this weeks there is an need for ICE/border control but the way they are doing it right now is just wrong. They had their officers assaulted, many of them black and when they(ICE) finds out there are in fact police officers they run off without apologies or explanations. somehow they seem to get away with lawlessness it's scary.

There is no statute of limitations for murder, and Trump has only 3 years to go. I do not think the individuals involved should necessarily sleep soundly.

The criminals further up will be fine though, unfortunately.

Bollox. The guy was no threat and could have been subdued without filling him with lead.

Do you honestly believe he would have been shot in Europe?

In Europe, possibly, they have guns .

You dont believe this is locals just venting. Its organised, well funded organised targeted against federal officials.

Whilst these individuals directly interfere in operational tasks, expect the odd person be shot/killed.

Hopefully the national guard will stop these protests

ICE is being used in the same way Hitler used his stormtroopers. ICE are being deployed in cities that are Democrat led and have black leaders. This is collective punishment and retribution by a president who has more in common with Saadam Hussain that any of the constitutionaly led presidents who came before him.

You're on the wrong side on this. You have fallen for a great lie, or you agree with a authoritarian criminal presidency.
Either way it makes you look like a daffodil.

I don’t view the way the BBC reports this in the same light as you do. I want to see serious journalists taking care not to jump in too quickly apportioning blame (I remember the Gaza hospital bombing that was blamed wrongly on Israel but was due to Hamas, and how this was used by Israel to criticise the BBC).
I take the “context” comment as a subtle way to highlight the spin being put out by Noem.

We will have to agree to disagree. The average reader is not looking for subtle subtext, they want the facts reported as such.
They could have said "Noem has said (such and such) but all currently available evidence is to the contrary.

At least the SS had stylish uniforms. ICE agents look like they're cosplaying at being police/in the army.

Gravy SEALs.

No Im not

This is a lawyers assessment of the incident

Officers were wrestling an armed suspect when “GUN!” was yelled after one was spotted. Settled law lets officers rely on each other’s reasonable perceptions—no need for personal confirmation.
Once a firearm shows up amid active resistance, the standard is clear: reasonable belief in imminent deadly force. It was met here.
Freeze-frame critics ignore real-time chaos. The law doesn’t demand officers wait to get shot.

Tragic? Yes. Lawful? Absolutely.

Something nasty in the woodshed
Based on how the execution was carried out, and the noncholant, overconfident behaviour of the murderers immediately after the killing, I think it's highly probable that ICE thugs have been briefed that they are free to use deadly force against any protester in possession of a firearm.

Hence the immediate response of riddling the victim with bullets in the back, once his holstered weapon became visible as he was struggling on the ground. America being America this isn't going to result in fewer protesters turning up armed. This may get very bad, very fast.

A superb photo (Gemini says the photographer was Rudy Rucker) of a legendary seller of comics and books in Minneapolis, Greg Ketter: he's 70 years old, and braving ICE and their tear gas to protest about what they are doing.
