I'm always baffled by Americans' apparent equivalence between the Bible and the Constitution (with all its amendments), as if it's been handed down by God, rather than a messy document cobbled together in haste, and then subject to all sorts of additions in response to crises. Yet, the 'originalists' read it like some religious text, rather than an imperfect and outdated attempt to prevent exactly the sort of things that are threatening to destroy America as we know it.

(A microcosm of that is the sort of form I once had to fill in to claim about £10 petty cash from Devon County Council: it needed four other signatures (at different levels of seniority) to be authorised, no doubt in response to people finding ways to claim fraudulently, and each iteration of the form adding another layer of "Oops, didn't think of that ruse!")

I was wondering about how few US prominent people have been identified and thinking about the victims coming out publicly with names. Impossible to imagine their position but given how litigious Trump and the mega US wealthy are, I can imaging the thought process from a victim along the lines of "he's destroyed my life once, I've managed to build something back so do I want that person to destroy my life again this time dragging me through months of publicity battles, months of legal cases, legal costs I can't afford, etc. and all to mention his name in public?".

The lack of support the victims had, the lack of a safety net or in the case of Eastern Europeans, not even an exit.

This ,am was vile. Maxwell held her hand during the procedure. She's vile too. I would throw her into a Honduras male prison and leave her to rot and be exploited. Trump is vile. The Dallas girl who made submitted a complaint to the Miami police who stated that she was raped by both Trump and Epstein found dead in a hotel room with her head blown off.

Trump and the Cabal of billionaire perverts make me want to vomit. They are sick sick sick b@stards. I do not believe there is a shred of doubt about Trump's culpability and his beauty pageant front for trafficking women, grading them and distributing them - by gift or auction.

I feel deeply saddened the more this reveals because it seems as though they will all get away with it. No punishment for evil in the 'Christian nation'. How ironically sad.

I would think every Epstein employee had to sign a restrictive non disclosure agreement and between that and the statute of limitations, plus not being able to face the hardship of dragging up the trauma and years long legal process, most people would understandably choose to try to move on with their life, especially if their family and friends were unaware of what they'd been through. Knowing this, I'm sure Epstein and Maxwell were careful in who they groomed and selected, finding those who were easier to manipulate and least likely to cause them trouble. In fact that was Maxwell's job really, to provide the respectable front.
