It is at the point now where people can just nod and smile at the old man, safe in the knowledge that if they send some people with clip boards, hard hat and high vis vests to a Pennsylvania coal mine and ask them to look like they are preparing to do something, he will be happy. No pointless multi-year investment in dead mining and energy generating technology will be needed, because the old man won't know his own name soon.

Biden's cognitive decline doesn't even compare. At least Biden was a rational individual in decline whereas Trump is a sociopath in decline.

More Epstein file revelation:

Trump calls the Palm Beach police in 2004 to report Epstein for alleged sex trafficking...

And yet now, he's saying he had "...no idea what he was up to...".

Trumps call (for clarity) was not because of his moral concern, he was attempting to disrupt, or even kibosh a real estate deal spat he had with him. Despite this, Epstein is mentioned in an email regarding meeting up for a Thanks giving dinner with Trump in 2017.
A bit like Nutlick 'I had nothing to do with him after such and such year'.

Is there any rational reasoning behind this other than to punish them, make then suffer and bend the knee?
It really looks like he is just doing whatever he wants and nobody is capable or willing to stand up to him, and I don't mean Cuba.

There will be some sort of commercial/transactional interest in it for Trump. It's not like he's going around the world playing Mr Higher Moral Sherriff in any respect (like the Americans always used to).
It just may simply be that he's trying to control Venezuelan oil to line his pockets and this is simply the side effect. The US has been sanctioning Cuba since the Cuban missile crisis.

Trump is nuts and bad and spiteful and venal and delusional on another level but I find it really really hard to listen to the rumblings on of the Mandleson/Starmer thing a week after Starmer admitted knowing the JE/PM relationship and trying to level that with the seeming silence over Trump and the video showing the Obamas as apes. I don't understand how this hasn't been the downfall of Trump (or at least hasn't threatened to be). It was a couple of minute article on the News for a couple of days and seems to have gone away.

Never mind Ms Maxwell, what about Epstein's staff? (particularly those who took the photographs and/or did the filing!)
I see your point but these mega-wealthy probably don't notice the staff. They'll notice if their drink isn't topped up fast enough or if their massage doesn't meet expectations but general staff just probably not seen or perceived as irrelevant.

That was to do with epstein soliciting the women at Trumps Lago resort.

What epstein got upto on his own island would be down to epstein.

Several independent sources have said, how Trump reported and dropped epstein like hot coals soon as he was made aware of his behaviour

The woman was a victim. This was an attempt to deport her so that she wouldn't spill the beans.

I thought the sanction would have been removed during the period of 1991 to 2014 (maybe 2022) as it was primarily due to the USSR/Russia.
I was wrong but Obama did lift sanctions until 2017 when guess who put them back in place.
Another consideration - Every year since 1992, except for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.N. General Assembly has passed a non-binding resolution that condemns the ongoing impact of the embargo and declares it in violation of the Charter of the United Nations and of international law. Israel is the only country that routinely joins the U.S. in voting against the resolution.

It is my belief that Donnie wants to bring them to heel and beg to become part of the USA, along with Canada, Greenland, Panama and probably others.
