Hardly huge cliff falls

FTSE is up over 5 days. So this includes the dip at the start of the conflict

Once the Islamic regime has been disarmed of its missiles , planes, drones etc. The interrupted oil production levels with normalise. In the meantime Saudi, an ally of Trump will adjust production to cover variations.

The markets will already knows this hence the lack of knee jerk fluctuations in markets

The conflict started after the markets in Europe and the US closed on Friday.
What the markets did last week is irrelevant as there was no conflict whilst trading was open last week.

Hi Randy, apologies I'm new here. But since 8am you've posted 14 links to X (FKA Twitter), is there any reason? Is that this place's de-facto place to post links to?
I'd be surprised if you're not limiting your audience by doing this, most people I know left that platform and the rest of us need either to verify our age and identity, or use a VPN. All a bit of a faff innit?

Given Starmer had in his younger days written articles questionning the legality of the invasion of Iraq, it is hardly surprising that he was very (and rightly) cautious about being involved in another illegal act, this time in respect of starting a war with Iran.

It might be a good thing morally that the regime in Iran has been beheaded, but you have to be extremely stupid to fail to understand that this would cause massive chaos and retaliation in a part of the world that is extremely volatile and unstable, whilst being key to the global economy.

You’ll realise at some point that you are shouting into the void.
Ignore and move on.

So he launched these attacks without Congressional approval which is another breach of the Constitution. You would think this would trigger an impeachment or something but yet again it appears he is able to act with impunity and that the US government is completely toothless. It really has become a dictatorship.

According to Trump, he is not putting troops on the ground so his actions are not a declaration of war so he does not need congressional approval.
It's a bit of a stretch because there is also no mention of budgetary agreement.
