That's a start. It's clear bullying tactics from Hegseth, mimicking Trump. I'd like to think that sooner or later the dam will burst, and all of a sudden, big companies will realise they are going to lose big time if they don't fight back against the Orange Turd and his enablers... which, at the moment, includes the big companies toeing the Trump line for fear of bullying.

It is fairly likely to be a disastrous mid terms and the in-fighting will start to get serious. Imo.

Well the tone my start to change I suppose, but firms will want to be clear of his vindictiveness before pandering to someone else. That will require some time after the mid terms to see whether congress will push back, even if the republicans were to lose both houses.

I was thinking more along the lines of the GOP wanting rid of him to prepare for 2028 in a better state. Leaving it until 2028 will be too late. The way things are going I do not see Donnie as president in 2028. Things may change, and probably will. Remains to be seen for better or worse.

If the GOP do badly, rather than very badly I think the calculation will be that every second term president does badly in the midterms so the successor will be along the same lines as Trump. If they lose both houses, which I think is unlikely, for sure they will start to move away from MAGA (although the America first agenda is sufficiently popular that it will continue in some form under either a Republican or Democrat president)

Time will tell but it is shaping up to be very, very bad for the mid terms. We will see.
