Here's what the SC gutting of the Voting Rights Act means: there will be no representation of the Democrat vote whatsoever in gerrymandered states, and you can expect there to be no black Representatives from historical Confederate states - that's been their end goal for a long time. It's a farce, and Trump isn't hiding it, and nor is the Supreme Court.

Democratic states have two choices: carry on being nice and lose the midterms because of gerrymandering, or fight fire with fire, and do the same to eliminate Republican representation in places like California. Utterly nuts, but that's the choice.

America needs to be rebooted.

Leopards & faces. Dairy farmer (in the family since the Civil War) voted for Trump because Trump promised stuff, despite not delivering on the promises in the 2016 election. Now so stuffed by tariffs and rising prices that they are selling everything.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/03/...unlocked_article_code=1.flA.ofFQ.P7KtZdxcQpSN

"Brad had supported Donald Trump in 2024 in part because Trump promised to change all that by becoming “the most pro-farmer president you’ve ever had.” Instead, new tariffs had cut into Brad’s potential export market and the emerging war in Iran had sent gas and fertilizer prices surging by as much as 70 percent. He was losing thousands of dollars each month and falling behind on his feed bill, until he made the call he’d been dreading his whole career. He dialed up an auction house to arrange the Watson family’s final dairy sale last month. “Complete Jersey herd dispersal,” one ad read. “Farm is going dry. Every cow must go.”

And you can bet your bottom dollar that Farage's 'promises' would be equally as fraudulent as Trump's.

Ha, turns out the farmer in question is doing the boohoo story, but still has a farm of 1100 acres with mobile masts and fracking income. Probably wants another payoff from Trump to vote Republican again.

Here's another perspective from that rare thing, a Democrat farmer.

...The lack of competitive races means that control of the U.S. House of ‌Representatives will likely be determined in November's midterm election by fewer than 10% of Americans, with the winners in the vast majority of districts all but assured before a single ballot is cast, a Reuters analysis found.
Only 32 of the House's 435 seats are currently considered competitive, according to the analysis. Those districts were rated either toss-ups or leaning toward Democrats or Republicans by three leading independent forecasters: Cook Political Report, the University of Virginia’s Crystal Ball and Inside Elections...
...Most other districts are simply out of play. Cook, for instance, rates 375 seats, more than 85% of the House, as either "Solid Republican" or "Solid Democrat," which means its analysts do not expect them to be seriously contested. Another 28 races are "likely" Republican or Democratic, according to Cook, meaning they are not competitive at present but might become so under new conditions.
This year boasts the fewest competitive House races at this stage of the election cycle since at least 2008, according to an archive of prior Cook ratings.
