Much has been made of the parallels between the rise of christian fascist fundamentalism in the US and the christofascist state Gilead imagined by Margaret Atwood.

His speech was even more slurred than normal and the bags under his eyes were ridiculous making his normal piggy eyes look fully closed. No wonder he falls asleep all the time, he looks like he hasn’t had a proper night’s sleep in months (which wouldn’t be a surprise as he seems to spend all night typing rubbish on social media).
