Netanyahu and Trump are unhappy so I’m assuming, having not previously been aware of her, that this has been a good decision.

Trump is threatening sanctions against the ICC. Not quite sure how that works but I’m hoping that at some point he finds himself in front of them.

Maybe The Onion shouldn't have done this six months ago.

In an effort to provide some joy to the nation and boost overall well-being, Justice Department officials announced plans Monday to bring back firing squads as a means of entertainment. “For too long, weak-on-fun Democrats have prevented our country from exercising this beloved tradition of murdering for enjoyment,” said acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, claiming the practice was also a far cheaper and more efficient method of amusement than lethal injection. “Capital punishment with actual guns and bullets acts as a natural deterrent for boredom when it is carried in front of millions of thrilled, screaming Americans. Firing squads are going to completely expedite the delight and euphoria that are often slow in death penalty cases, with some inmates being forced to wait years before their death provides amusement for a cheering crowd.” Blanche added that the Justice Department was also considering reestablishing state electrocutions for a one-night-only exclusive livestream on YouTube.

I've not read all of this, but essentially it completely slaps down Trump's attempt to interfere with voter rolls at state level, which has been rumbling on, state by state, for months. It does give more hope that the courts will protect the midterms, at least to some degree.

DOJ cannot run roughshod over longstanding laws that were carefully crafted to protect the rights of the American people. The Civil Rights Division’s policy is unlawful in several respects. First, the Defendants’ claimed authorities—Civil Rights Act of 1960, the National Voter Registration Act, and the Help America Vote Act—do not authorize the policy. Second, the policy is arbitrary and capricious under the Administrative Procedure Act. Third, the policy violates both substantive and procedural protections in the Privacy Act, a statute designed to ban federal data banks and preserve the American tradition of limited, transparent government. And fourth, the policy violates limits imposed by the Paperwork Reduction Act. The Court therefore sets aside and vacates the challenged policy under the Administrative Procedure Act.

Today’s decision does not prevent the federal government from taking lawful steps to support states’ efforts to maintain accurate voter rolls. Neither does it prevent states from maintaining their own voter rolls. And to state the obvious, the Court’s decision does not pave the way for ineligible voters to vote in our elections. Rather, the Court vacates a policy that has removed United States citizens from the voter rolls in their home states and risks disenfranchising many more—a policy that flies in the face of duly enacted laws designed to protect Americans. When the federal government defies federal laws, our system of checks and balances permits individuals to turn to federal courts for recourse. And if they prevail, courts are duty-bound to step in under the Constitution.

Haha. The Washington Sun isn't a satirical newspaper. The world is just laughing at America. It's going to make the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire look decidedly tame, once written up.

I wonder what happens when the US applies tariffs to itself. Or maybe this just highlights the severe limitations of Trümp's brain.

US announces it's going to apply tariffs to those countries buying hydrocarbons from Russia. Short time later Trümp announces US is going to be buying hydrocarbons from Russia ... oh dear.

It would be funny were it not going to likely end-up with more deaths of those who really don't want war.

They are cancelling part of the tariffs and sanctions. The US/Donnie is an ally of Russia/Putin.

"It is understood the US Treasury is suspending sanctions on Russian diesel exports until 7 April as part of the deal, but other assets like those in American banks are still frozen."

Have we covered his decision to lift sanctions on Russian diesel to bring down prices in the US (that have increased due to his own actions starting yet another war). Even by Trump standards this seems insane. Also, I would have thought the oil prices would be good for him to sell a good chunk of the oil he stole from Venezuela.
