Trump going all in on trying to help Putin win. If this doesn't spur Europe into action and to treat the US regime as actively hostile, nothing will. Mind you, I don't think the US is actually supplying much to Ukraine, but it suggests that Trump will do anything to help his best buddy Putin.

Aren't European countries buying stuff from US military suppliers to pass on to Ukraine?

Donnie has clearly been reminder in no uncertain terms in the last 48 hours which side he should be supporting.

If they are, it won't be long before Trump says he won't sell to European buyers. He's running out of effective options to skew the war in Russia's favour.

Europe has had four years to ramp up their production of weapons so they are not so dependent on the unreliable Trump. I suspect the US arms industry and a lot of Republican politicians would not agree with Trump on a weapons sale ban to a major customer base.

Donnie V2.0 was voted in less than 2 years ago.
However, I do take your point and will add that it is just his usual bluff as he wants the money to keep rolling in.

The US was definitely a comfort blanket.
Was.

It'll have interesting consequences on the US economy if their war-based industries (manufacturing and troops) have to refocus on shooting and bombing only their own citizens, though ICE have made quite a decent fist of it so far.

It looks as if politicians on both sides in the US are working to stop Trump buying diesel from Russia as it runs counter to specific existing legislation passed in 2022.
