Lots see it at the pump - it's unavoidable.

Europe has had four years to ramp up their production of weapons so they are not so dependent on the unreliable Trump. ...
Yet the UK still seems to be pushing forward with remaining very dependent on US, not only for military but in civilian areas as well. Trümp goes way beyond demonstrating the US is at best "unreliable" yet we continue to grow our dependence on them in critical areas.

... I suspect the US arms industry and a lot of Republican politicians would not agree with Trump on a weapons sale ban to a major customer base.
But can they stop him? Maybe in the long term (I don't know enough about legislative powers in the US) but Trümp signs an executive order and all those companies UK depends on would immediately comply even if it then went through the courts system, appeals, etc. we'd still be without critical systems for many months eg NHS loses it's Federated Data Platform, Police lose their Palantir, UK military lose access to significant parts of their operational systems, etc.

So we agree that the point of the exercise is to influence public perception against Ukraine, no actual diesel needs to be involved in the process.
I think additionally to make (gullible) US voters think that Trümp is addressing their fuel prices and he has acted to reduce the prices.

I doubt Russia will be getting any money and US won't be getting any diesel, just convince and many of the electorate as possible it's being sorted and, as you say pass the blame to Zelensky and away from Trũmp.

That's wot I said too: "...and that's Trumps only concern because fuel prices is bad publicity and he cannot accept that bombing Iran is the cause..."

Trump added that Vought would be “one of the very important people in the history of our country” and noted that there are “great things happening.”
Slightly tangential...
I don't think it is coincidence that the (bad) organisation in the Prime series The Boys was named Vought.

So Trump buys Russian oil and that money helps Russia wage war on Ukraine and assists Iran to... bomb US targets.

Hmm... still can't get my head around this.
