One aspect the argument does highlight is how vulnerable Government become when they push ever more services out to private "for profit" companies. NASA's dependence of Musk/SpaceX and suddenly Musk is threatening to decommission the rocket they are so dependent on. Whilst Musk has backed down on this it does highlight how vulnerable Government is. What's to say next tantrum he won't follow through and not back down.

And when countries become so dependent on StarrLink they also become dependent on Musk agreeing with their politics, legislation, etc.

Being heavily dependent on one company, especially one where one person within the company is so powerful, is definitely stupid.

I suppose Trump could nationalise Musk's companies and throw their CEO out of his job. That would work, wouldn't it?
