I guess one of the questions in the application for the travel authority thingy is if you are a British citizen. You could lie and say no, I don't know what the consequences would be if you got found out. I don't understand the reason for the change of policy.

I suspect the question is whether leaving a country on one passport would cause problems if you then tried to enter another on a different passport.

Many people do that. For instance, Iran requires dual nationals to enter Iran using an Iranian passport, so if you have dual British/Iranian citizenship you enter Iran with your Iranian passport and on the return you enter the UK with your British passport.

I did that on my recent ski trip - left on my UK passport, entered EU on my Irish one, reverse when we left.
If my son goes to Australia, he leaves on his UK passport, arrives in Aus on his aussie one (or he'd need a visa) and leaves Aus on the aussie and returns to the UK on his Uk one, or he'd need a visa......

Big brother knows where you are. When you travel to any country you have to show the carrier that you will be allowed to enter at the destination. In the case above, the poster will have had to show their Irish passport to be allowed to board the train, ferry or plane going into Europe and then their British passport to board when returning to the UK.

Long post soz but it has relevance to Fagrash and Trump. Skip if it's tl:dr.
He goes to the US frequently (lives in NZ) and was going on 'missions' to which it was never explained to me for and on behalf of whom. I suppose the obvious answer was 'it's for 'God' but that doesn't tell me which particular sect.
Last visit, he bought a second hand V8 Merc (with my assistance) and then proceeds to drive all over the US and finishing in Toronto? So I presume he paid for gas, hotels and motels too. Boy didn't they recruit well.
Post this visit, he sends me an email saying what Hegseth said in Munich was right and that he was deeply concerned about our family's safety and the future of the UK with how we (UK) are being taken over by grooming gangs and that they should bomb the 'boat people' 'cos that will put them off' and they would stop coming.
Then I get a link to an Andrew Tate YT video post his Bulgarian release by the Donnie Dump fascists. I watched it. The first 10 minutes is very articulate, measured and plausible before it went off into unapologetic fascism using the initial base. You can see the draw in it but you can also see what's been dubbed as 'intellectual whitewashing'. Kirk did this. The Thiel's do this. You can see Fagash doing it. It's a theme.
But my brother is autistic, though never officially diagnosed as one (and you dare not suggest it). I have an autistic daughter and the traits in my brother are glaring. He's very intelligent but the autism has caused a life long problem with personal relationships and has always been drawn into conspiracy theories including the idea that Jews run the world. In the sphere of the genocide in Israel, the Epstein files, APAC and it's involvement in US politics both left (Democrats) and right, there is a small semblance of truth about it and 'world' is a stretch, it but that doesn't justify fascism as justification for extremist views.
So brother is in the Nick Fuentes camp, not the Jon Shapiro camp if you like.
