Edited to add, the most telling reflexion from the article "The US has lost control of its foreign policy", the implication being, to me, that Israel controls US foreign policy, with regards to the middle east at least.

And now they are blowing up gas fields without telling USA.

That would be nice, but Israel will not allow it, and will keep escalating the conflict as we have seen with the bombing of the gas field.

1. They did not know about it. In which case they have lost control. (I personally think they never had control of the IDF).
2. They did know about it. In which case they are incredibly stupid and tactically naive.

This is an odd way to 'put pressure' on Japan. I suspect they won't be persuaded, somewhow.
