Am I alone in wondering why, if you can run oil and gas pipelines from Russia across Europe and Asia, and from the north of Alaska though Canada and into the continental US, it ought to have been possible to bypass the Straight of Hormuz and Red Sea by now?

Well, democracy is the worst system of governance, except for all the other’s.
And people can be very easily convinced to vote against their best interests, especially when huge amounts of money are thrown at the issue.
It just goes to show how important a strong independent media is. There is no surprise for guessing why so much effort is up in to undermining the BBC.

He had enough of the stupid ones turn out to vote for him. Some of them still support him today. Stupid is as stupid does.
