The strait of hormuz is not owned solely by the iranians, therefore they shouldn't have total control.
Yet, as the US admits, they do.

Although if he goes ahead with his threats he'll become a war criminal and the ICC will at some point issue warrants which will severely restrict eg visiting his golf courses around the world. He can't pardon himself.

ICC seems to act slowly, collecting plenty of evidence and Trǔmp has limited time left in office and would his successor (likely a Democrat) start kicking-up should ICC issue warrants about what is clearly a period of US madness? I suspect whilst he'd couldn't be arrested in US, no overseas travel, Trūmp family reputation trashed (with a war criminal those now running the organisation fully supported), etc..

I can’t see them having the guts to do anything against a US President even when he leaves office. You have to lose a war or be from a developing country to get in their bad books.
