Today, BBC reporting they (USA) have fired upon an Iranian cargo vessel, disabled its navigation system, stopped it and boarded it. Iranians not happy about it.

US strategy of trying to starve a nation. Although, given their borders, this can be circumnavigated. Pun intended.
Was it on the way in or out?

Was on the way in.
Regardless of what Donnie says, Iran control the Strait while the US controls the Gulf of Oman.

What Donnie doesn't know doesn't hurt him.
Apparently and according to a leak, Donnie is and has been lead out of war meetings after numerous rants.

Based on reports from early April 2026, President Donald Trump engaged in intense, frequently profane rants and "unhinged" behavior during discussions regarding a conflict with Iran, prompting significant alarm among officials.
The Guardian +1

  • Rants and "Madness": During meetings related to the war in Iran and the Strait of Hormuz crisis, Trump was described as exhibiting "madness" and, according to a former ally, acting as an "unhinged madman".
  • Cabinet Meeting Disruption: Reports indicate that during a cabinet meeting focused on the war and rising inflation, Trump disregarded the agenda to engage in a long monologue about the pens he uses, with some suggesting he was acting erratically.
  • Irregular Meeting Behaviour: Observers reported that Trump frequently interrupted, deviated from the topic, or allowed his frustrations with allies to overshadow strategic discussions.
  • Reaction of Staff/Allies: The behavior was deemed concerning enough that some advisors and allies, such as former supporter Tucker Carlson, attempted to guide the administration away from further military escalation, while others expressed deep concern over the "bloodlust" and nature of the conversations.
  • Conflict Context: These actions occurred while Trump was publicly threatening Iran with "hell" if the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened, and privately ignoring warnings from his team regarding regional instability.

These events reportedly caused fissures in his Republican coalition, with some supporters turning against his handling of the situation.

Although I commend the BBC for reporting this and they are obviously not concerned about a lawsuit, I put that bit in bold just to underline how much of an understatement that is. It doesn't even put the canvas on the easel, never mind paint a picture.

They finally got around to this as well today.
The insider trading suspicions looming over Trump's presidency

He can lie all he wants. The rest of the world can see if the Strait is open or closed and the world markets will react accordingly.
Wall Street can do as it pleases, believe his BS or face up to reality.
He has and continues to. The market lap it all up (which makes Trūmp feel even more powerful). Rest of World learnt long ago that he continually lies.

Whsat matters to Trūmp is what's in Trūmp's mind. Reality, impacts, business (rather than "Markets"), US population, etc. all irrelevant to what he does.

Donnie being Donnie no longer surprises me.
What annoys me is the markets responding positively to his every utterance.

They are cashing in too. daffodils.
