I'd like to see a true tally. Sporadic reports since day one have had a few here and there that will add up. And that's only the ones that they are admitting to. Certainly dozens if not more hospitalised too.

Playing with the numbers by pretending it is 2 different conflicts

More than 600 US military service members injured since Iran War began in February

Last week, the Pentagon revised its figures on those injured and killed in the war, taking the names of four who died in Operation Epic Fury and moving them to the death count for Overseas Operations.

On the Pentagon's Defense Analysis Casualty System, the death count for Operation Epic Fury, the name given to the initial attack, was listed at 18 as late as Tuesday, and 482 wounded.

At some point, four of those names were removed, and on Thursday the death toll was reduced to 14.

The four deceased soldiers' names now appear on Overseas Operations, which says it measures "casualties starting July 7th 2026". They are the only four listed deaths.

Reflecting on this and struck me that whilst Trümp was beyond stupid starting a war of choice ignoring well founded well established advice and without any real plan, were it not for Israel/Netanyahu Trümp would probably not have started the war.

Made me wonder quite why Trūmp is not trying to pass as much blame as possible on to Netanyahu. Given the current low US public opinion of Israel (State) one would think the public very ready to pass at least some of the blame on. Not like Trümp has ever shown any loyalty to anybody yet US war on Iran is now perceived as an entirely US choice/cause/responsibility where I had the impression Trümp stupidly (and avoidably) let himself get pushed into the was and initial stages were jointly with Israel.
