I'd have more sympathy for you lads moaning if the OP and a significant other hadn't spent the last couple of years calling me (and a few others) a c.unt and trolling the forum with personal abuse.

I don't recall a single one of you even suggesting the pair of them take it down a notch, so it seems a bit hypocritical to be complaining about disruptive behaviour now.

It's the case they don't like what they see, so try to supress by

Don't feed the troll, place on ignore

It says more about their inability to engage with anything they disagree with.

Oh well, onwards 👍

Anatomy of "engagement":

"Something from X"

"Well that's totally wrong because of these reasons."

"Something from X"

"... That's also wrong because of these reasons."

"Something from X"

"... You're not even trying to think about this, are you?"

"Something from X"

Apparently as infinitum. Ho hum.

As I mentioned in the 'trolls kill forums' thread, if people really feel they simply *must* get truth out there, don't quote the troll or name them, don't respond point-by-point, but now and again post trustworthy news sources on the subject. It will actually annoy trolls if you keep making the same point but never acknowledging the troll's existence. They really are *desperate* for you to quote and respond to them. It's pathetic and rather sad: they have no interest in 'the truth', just in getting attention.

You have been a lying c.nut for as long as I remember. You are not just a troll but a determined liar. Last words.

Be honest, you mean your truth.

I have read your endless diatribe about another country's leader. It's hardly going to effect you, why the vitriol

Anyhow, back to the subject, I'm not going anywhere, see you soon 👍

To be honest, if you end up using insulting names yourself, you'd have been best walking away earlier, however strong you feel your argument is, and however dishonest you feel your 'opponent' is. It's clear that there is no meeting point between your views, and never will be.

Anyway enough already.

I've enjoyed the company of a few people here. I'll miss some more than others. Anyway, I'm now apparently into my final days and breaths. Far from being sad about it, I feel relieved, such is the state of the country and the world.

So it's bye from me. I'll watch this space for a day or two if I anyone fancies saying goodbye here or better still by pm.

Toodlepip.

I don't disagree, but the "don't quote and respond point by point" approach doesn't work either, as evidenced by his reply to you.

To be fair Brian, you don't need a strong argument against a persistent liar who despite all evidence to the contrary just keeps telling lies, not just white lies, but harmful lies. Bigots do not deserve my respect. I've no time left for politeness for its own sake.

It does work. There's less noise, merely single posts to skip over. The responses are merely more noise - you can't add anything of value to a totally valueless post.

By "work" meant that he'd get bored and do one.

I'm new (ish) on here but on the Bike Radar forum there were at least four or five regular posters who although they weren't trolls, would post endless shite that they thought was the received wisdom because they'd read it in The Times of heard it on the BBC. They became self appointed gate keepers of what were "acceptable views" and it all got a bit tedious. It was their equivalent of putting their fingers in their ears and shouting "Ia la la!I" which was why they were all so shocked when they lost the EU referendum and when Trump got elected twice (which was hilarious for the likes of me and Stevo!)

Anyway, I just scroll past the posters I don't like. Easiest thing in the world to do. I don't really get the
problem. It's probably worth reading our MAGA friend's posts if only because he represents the views of a large section of Americans. Just don't criticise his source material or posting style if you don't like him.

Short term it doesn't, but they will get bored eventually. Didn't even know he'd responded. Blissfully ignorant.
