They seem like nice boys.

I'm sure the Gazans trying to navigate between starvation and lethal attacks would agree.

Yeah because the UN supplied AId which basically came down to briding local warlords which are all more or less linked to Hamas is so much better right? If you agree with that, why not pay local gangster to keep the streets ''safe'' ? is exactly the same thing. Hamas creates food starvation (also before 7 October when there was no war) and benefits from it.

This way the only benefit they get is an bullet trough their head.

The funniest/worst thing is their incompetence in so easily exposing themselves. I know a couple fellas involved in clubs and they'd be embarrassed to the point of resignation.
You known fellas at criminal motorcycle clubs?

Not sure about that. How would the conversation have gone?

"Hi Marco, it's Ben. Is it okay if we do something that makes you and Donald look like complete chumps with no influence?"

"Fine by me but Donald is just having his dialysis so I'll need to get back to you."

"Ah. Sorry, I just pressed the launch button."

This turns out to have been more accurate than I had intended.

I tried to give your post some sensible thought but when you wrote that nonsense about there being no war pre October 7, I rolled my eyes and gave up.

And yes, I know a couple of guys in clubs, neither of whom are stupid enough to publicise their extra curricular activities all over social media, and probably wouldn't want to get involved with a government contract in any case.

I assume from this you'll extrapolate some wild fantasy about how that means I'm a terrorist sympathiser or something. Have fun with that.

Can it really be called a war in the usual sense?

War makes me think of two sets of two countries with armies, navies and air forces battling it out.
That’s not happening here.

Israel is illegally occupying another country.
That country has no navy, no air force, no regular army.
The resistance that fights back has only comparatively light weapons.

Israel prevents medicine, food and water from reaching the country’s population.
Israel controls the border on three sides with a wall with AI machine guns.
It controls the sea with gunships.
It controls the air space.

It has bombed all hospitals, schools, places of worship, uses snipers to murder people queuing for food.
Israeli drone operators bomb children collecting water.
Israeli navy shoots people who try to fish in the sea, desperate for food.

With no possible escape for civilians, Israel bombs refugee tents.
Israeli soldiers murder emergency medical workers in clearly marked ambulances.
They bomb a building with civilians in and then strike again once a rescue team arrives.
Israel murders all the journalists in the country and prevents other journalists from entering.

It has now razed almost the entire country and plans to do so completely.

That’s not war, it’s massacre.
It’s war crimes.

It’s genocide.

Yes.

Except the 'other country' is a fiction. The actuality is more like a Bantustan in Apartheid-era S Africa.

The only parallel I can think of is the German crushing of the Warsaw ghetto uprising

Finally talk of maybe, at some point taking some meaningful action against israel

Starmer nowhere to be seen. Sorry, he is, meeting the Israeli President who once said
“The entire [Palestinian] nation out there that is responsible,” said Herzog. “It is not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware, not involved.”
and who maintains
Israel is “acting in accordance with international law”
and whose statements were used by the ICJ supporting their ruling.
