Sadly there are people who will say* she deserves it, due to eating lentils/blah-blah-blah.

*I would have written "think" - but it's mostly macho internet bravado.

Indeed. There were some pretty epic threads there with lots of perceptive opinions which ex-BR people will remember (and without the constant noise of trolls and name-calling derailing every discussion). Obviously the references back there will mean nothing to NCAP folk.

Oh there was lots of that.

Doubling down, eh?

I've already stated that I was explaining my understanding of various reports of the killings. Reports which used the terms I referred to.

Please stick to reading what I wrote, without letting my sig line taint your judgement.

AS reliably misreads and interprets stuff to mean what she wants it to mean.

On a different note, Israel's refusal to release Barghouti is telling.

Bit like Hamas not releasing the bodies of the dead hostages and allegedly sending body of a Palestinian....like they did in th e last attempt at a cease fire.

Can see this ceasefire coming into difficulties including ( in no particular order)
1. Release of bodies of dead hostages
2. Release of individuals Hamas want released
3. Hamas seemingly reasserting control by force in areas Israel have withdrawn from
4. Apparent blocking of aid from Israel

Hopefully these issues can be overcome

To me the question becomes whether Hamas are withholding those bodies or are finding real problems finding those bodies when you can no longer tell what were buildings and what were roads.

I have no idea about their motives but could see situations where finding places or getting to places could be difficult and possibly even ultimately unsuccessful eg places that were underground and are now under many tones of destroyed building/rubble.

No idea I'm afraid. The only thing I take umbrage with is people stirring up hatred.

I can see both arguments on this point. Israel knows that locating bodies under piles of rubble is going to be time consuming, and that's the reason the peace plan contains wording about this. Also, mixing up bodies without any ability to test them sounds likely; however, Hamas has form for this sort of psychological torture. Furthermore, they know the value of the dead bodies, so were likely guarding them like the hostages, so I feel like they should be able to produce more of them more quickly. That said, it may be easier to move a live hostage than a dead body.

The other interesting point to come out has been the treatment of the prisoners/hostages/PoWs. One of the Israelis seems to have spent two years playing cards and cooking for his captors whilst others have been starved and beaten. Many of the Palestinians look in terrible condition too.

And there you go again..... the Reasonable Man, the man who thinks advocating for men to be kept out of women's spaces, sports, and prisons is by definition stirring up hatred.

From what Trump said, Hamas said they had X confirmed bodies and have not delivered those. If they cannot locate the bodies, they shouldn't have claimed they had them available to return
its not as if Hamas haven't done exactly the same thing before in the last ceasefire. When you add it to Hamas reclaiming the streets and executing those they describe as collaborators, you must wonder about the ability of the ceasefire to hold
