I always find those Palestine defending comments quite tone deaf, for those who don't know in Palestine even under Isreali siege Hamas executed anyone they think or knew opposed them, years prior they killed numerous people for being accused of being gay. and they killed lots of children by depriving them off clean water yet somehow Isreal is charged with genocide, when is it Hamas's turn?
these concert etc. are full of Hamas support do these people know what they are supporting? or is it just like almost 80 years ago as long as you hate jews everyone's fine?

I'm not aware that anyone here is supporting Hamas. But there is no chance of any political change while Israel systematically destroys Gaza and its people.

So if you support Palestine it is deemed as offering tacit support for Hamas.
But if you specifically criticise the Israel government it is seen as being critical of the entire Jewish population.
We have to separate the politics from the people.

I wasn't arguing about that. What I meant is that white people are afforded the benefit of individuality, as it should be. So not all Israelis are to blame for Netanyahu, not all Jewish people are to blame for Israel, not all British people are to blame for the black shorts. But absolutely every single Palestinian, even those not yet born, is to blame for Hamas.

At some point you will possibly realise that people who are criticising Israel are not being anti Semitic or supporting Hamas.

I’ve literally never read any posts on here from anyone saying they think Hamas are in any way a good thing. If the Israelis left Palestine alone I suspect support for Hamas even amongst Palestinians would dry up pretty soon. The problem is that neither Hamas or the Israeli government want peace, they need conflict to stay relevant.

Same thought had passed through my mind, though obviously that doesn't stop Jewish people from being critical of the Israeli government, as many have shown. An open-minded person should be able to recognise and criticise atrocities committed by either side.
