Anderson knows what he is doing. It's not sheer stupidity or an accident, and it is probably desperation in the face of Tory electoral oblivion. He's going double or quits, as is Truss.

This is about attention-grabbing with a view to a revenue stream post-parliament. He's doing a Laurence Fox.

The interesting thing is whether Sunak will tolerate it, or join in.

I've been thinking a bit more about this, and I think there is a confluence between this story about Anderson's racism and the news that multi-millionaire GBNews part-owner, Paul Marshall has been liking islamophobic tweets.

Anderson has not been sent out by Tory High Command to deliver this message. There is no Tory High Command. The Tory Party is a sinking rudderless ship full of rats looking to jump to a safe and lucrative place.

And where is Anderson jumping? Straight onto the milky teat of Paul Marshall, via Marshall's own TV channels, mimicking the tweets that Marshall has been liking.
