Given our policing should be apolitical how come all PCC s seem to be supported by our political parties and stand as the Labour candidate or the Conservative candidate. A Policing post has become centred around policial parties.

True, and, it would appear a flawed invention at that. But, they appear to selected for office, elected and operate under party lines, their supposed independence is highly questionable. IMHO.

like I said, a flawed invention. Not helped by public apathy, which our Politicians do not seem to grasp, although, it does, generally allow them to be incompetent with impunity
