Just read that the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow are not on BBC this year.

That would seem to be the final blow to an event that has been struggling for a while.

Pared back too and only stepped in at the last minute because the Aussies decided it was getting too pricey for them, which is a d!ck move. And I suspect part of the reason they've had to be on subscription TV.

I've always enjoyed the Commonwealth Games, and it would be a shame to see them go.

His anti-migrant bias has been noticed by others

I genuinely am perplexed how he can be used by the BBC as a 'reporter'.

Ah, okay. Not on X as you may know, I have just seen him on BBC news itself. Very surprising, particularly as the BBC seem fairly hot on monitoring social media channels, although perhaps that is just for the big names?

There is some terrestrial coverage on Alba, S4C and Channel 5, so that's something at least.

Only 10 sports and 200 odd events between them (which is understandable given the time/infrastructure/financial constraints). I have always enjoyed the CG too, always been a good platform for a lot of young and emerging athletes.

At the moment India is going to host in 2030 with 15-17 sports, let's hope they don't do a Durban/Victoria!

Canada needs to step up at some point, they haven't hosted one for decades, and NZ. If it is basically depending on UK and India in future then it will die out at some point soon.

I think sadly that it will die out at sometime in the relatively near future.

Lots of big name withdrawals already from the athletics. Other sports experiencing the same.

The BBC have also lost Tony Livesey from 5Live.

His stint as editor of the Sunday sport was hardly a secret when they employed him.

He was a young man still in his 20s when he was editing the Sport, which was basically an adult comic.

He was a product of the 90s lads culture, and because entangled in the David Sullivan sex scandal.

There was no suggestion he had done anything wrong, but probably turned a blind eye to stuff.

Shame I thought he was good on 5live.
