Leaves more time for Chris Mason’s Reform propaganda.

I suspect that this means that Mason can't think of a better angle to attack Burnham on.

I think most of Mason's articles tell us more about Mason than who/what he thinks he's writing about.

And all of them confirm he's just a terrible, terrible writer. I'd have had no idea that he's a geography graduate of Cambridge, from his writing. I can only assume that either he got away with really sloppy writing for his degree and doesn't know better, or he's made a conscious decision to write in incoherent breathless Hello!-style prose for the BBC.

For a minute there I thought he might be Rick Chasey but then remembered he was history not geography.

The fact he studied geography explains a lot if you ask me. I had a house mate once who was studying it. He called it a Disney subject.

Is there some snobbery around a geography degree?

It is a very broad subject I guess you can do it the easy way or the hard way…..

    • BSc (Bachelor of Science): Focuses on physical and environmental geography, covering topics like climate change, hazards, hydrology, and ecosystems.
    • BA (Bachelor of Arts): Focuses on human geography and social sciences, exploring urbanization, cultural landscapes, geopolitics, and economic inequality.
    • Geospatial Technologies: Involves technical skills like GIS (Geographic Information Systems), spatial data analysis, and remote sensing.

Yes, lots of snobbery. We used to make jokes because they needed colouring pencils.

Things have probably moved a bit on from choosing to draw the power station near water and downwind of the town.
