I mean Sydnie Christmas.

Not an NCAP topic, but a little light relief from the usual argey bargey I hope.

She was a contestant on Britain's Got Talent. You can find all that on youtube if you wish.

What I love about her is that here is a tremendous voice, where I think given opportunity can fill the void left by the retirement of Shirly Bassey's sequins and shimmering lipstick, along with such a stage presence and drama. I think there's more to be seen from her than in this linked vid.

Her latest music on yoube is - you guessed it - a Christmas song.

It’s OK but 25 years on and still no female singer comes close to Dusty Springfield.

Just for a change all opinions can be valid without a war.

I like Dusty too, and many others. But I do like Shirley, and I think that SC has enough voice, personality and stage presence that she has the potential to satisfy those of us missing SB. This is not the same as me saying that she's the best ever - though she's a top ten for me.

Suggest you check out her three Britain's Got Talent performances, which despite that Ant & Dec antics interrupting are worth watching.
