Why is it so difficult to advice to public to turn down the thermostat, put a jumper on, us a washing machine at night etc...?

The BBC seems to be getting hit on both sides now. TG is now moaning about any so called glee when Brexit Watch tried to turn disaster into fun. In fact the death of the ultra rights is far more sensible fun than the funeral like solemnity that was really required by all coverage of Brexit.
The BBC cannot win thought, myself simply not watching any TV in the weeks following the death of her majesty.
There too much turned to zero.
