It's hard when satirists get out-satirised by their targets (though, to be fair, Associated Press deserve their own pitchbot with fawning guff like this).
I read an article putting forward a theory that the bullet missed him totally and his ear was cut on the belt buckle or ring or something of one of the bodyguards and the pulled him down to protect him
Not actual evidence of this - but it does sort of match the facts better than the official version
