Point I saw about an hour ago - is that the list of tariffs is not based on countries
It is based on top level Internet Domains
Hence the weird island mentioned
Ok - so that shows who came up with the list
if it was the diplomats or the foreign office type people they would have used a proper list
only the IT geeks would use this list - and they have to be a bit of a thick group of geeks to not realise the difference
but anyway
so - that is the list
but then someone had to calculate the "trade deficit" (which is isn;t but lets go with it)
so who was it that got hold of (!) the trade figures for these places and sat there and calculated the figures for his chart??
now - maybe they genuinely did that - in which case they are thick
but it is more likely that is was an edict like I had a few times at work
"do this and get it done and any complaints of even the slightest type and you are sacked - SACKED!!!"
which would explain why someone who is used to dealing with complex international finance has complied a trade deficit for islands inhabited by penguins - and sometimes seals
Oh - and is it just me that thinks trump and his visual aid looked like a host on one of those low rent shopping channels selling rubbish electric gadgets that you just know will break first time you use it???
