I love RAF Luton. My favourite ones are where they post a picture of a plane and deliberately caption it with a different plane type. Immediate replies of "that's not a 1947 Lancaster Bomber Type C, that's clearly a... (whatever)"

They used to paint planes pink to camouflage against certain types of cloud cover when performing low level reconnaissance during the war, so not necessarily as daft as people think. 😎🤣

There's a good British sport - making fun of silly foreign names.
There was a letter in the LRB some time ago, in response to an article about names. The writer's father, who was a vicar, had to gently dissuade a young and not well-educated couple from giving their daughter a lovely name they'd seen or read somewhere: Vagina.

I'm afraid I did raise an eyebrow at a ceremeny when a Psychiatry graduand, whose surname was Warre had her full name read out, as her middle name was Atomic.
Was that naughty of my eyebrow?
