Not a joke as such, but funny in more than one way... it seems that Musk's 'autonomous robot' is actually being controlled by tele-operator, which becomes clear when he takes off his headset and it all goes a bit Pete Tong...

"can't stop watching this clip of a tesla Optimus teleoperator taking his headset off before properly logging out the robot"
I wonder at what point we get to properly log out of Elon Musk?
I assumed that was commented on at release. Maybe not. You are paying a fortune not only for a useless robot that can't even load a dishwasher but a "pilot" to be in your house as well. Cheaper to just pay the "pilot" to do the work.
I use "pilot" as I don't know their exact job title. Robot operator/controller?
Ha, maybe the 'dishwasher loading challenge' (which might also involve obeying the directives of a human, such as a wife or husband who knows how to do it better) should be the standard test for robots, humanoid or not.
It couldn't even manage to open the door, far less figure out the correct loading method.
And increase the population. He thinks people should have bigger families.I just find it worrying that a man who wants to make robots to do all the menial jobs around the country
if also trying to reduce the number of people who can claim state benefits
And increase the population. He thinks people should have bigger families.
