I'm not a Sturgeon fan but I don't underestimate the enormous stress that being under police investigation must have brought. Fraud investigations are often very complex and intricate but you have to wonder why it took 2 years to get to this stage; it basically seemed centred on the activities of just a few individuals, as opposed to a myriad of companies, foreign bank accounts and so on. I suppose we'll find out when Murrell gets to court.

Getting evidence from overseas can take years, you need to go through the proper channels writing "Letters of Request" to obtain mutual legal assistance.

You can't just ask a foreign bank directly to send you evidence

Just having been arrested can cause long term grief eg want to travel to the US or even transit through US and having been arrested complicates things a lot.

On some occasions when I've transited through the US I have has to enter through immigration clearance (fortunately I has done a ETSA), walk to emigration and leave the US, even when arrival flight was late and departing flight on time and I end up walking to departing aircraft as they are retracting the gantry.

Very true. Similar issues with drug use. I believe there may be some exceptions of course. 😂

I can't recall what her defence was, just naivity of it all I think. I'd probably ask my other half exactly how much he paid for his handmade leather brogues by Church never mind where the new Jag came from.

He probably said the truth, that they are company assets bought by the SNP for use at party events.
He just didn’t explain that he’s not really allowed to do that.

It does raise some awkward questions for her but I expect those can't really be asked until after his legal difficulties are over. I did laugh a bit when the shopping list was given out. Amongst all the luxury brands, he shops at Wayfair lol.
