Yes, I suppose once he realised how easy it was he couldn't resist. I wonder what the very first item was. It'll be something like stationery or food. Starts with a pen, ends up with a motor home.

He got legal aid because his assets were frozen but presumably they will be released now to repay the £400k plus interest. Don't know if you have to repay legal aid once those circumstances change.

His assets will be used to pay the confiscation order ( presumably £400k+), the prosecution costs involved with the confiscation etc. There is likely to be nothing left to pay the LA bill

I don't know. The Guardian say he has enough to repay £400k but I can't think he would have enough to fund a complex fraud defence as well. Inheritance maybe, friends chipping in. That's if he has to repay his legal aid at all.

Normally he wouldn't have to repay Legal Aid.

I presume after the £400k has been repaid ( plus interests, costs etc) he probably has sod all left and his wages in Barlinnie ( or other residential accommodation) won't allow him to save much up

I am not sure what wages they get in HM's Hotels are these days

She was just the easy target though. If every MP and their families were investigated to the same level then there would be a few out of a job, and Fagash may well be facing prison. £5m is nobody’s business and his wife’s house, well…

There is no credible suggestion Farage has committed any imprisonable offence. Breach of rules of parliament re recording gifts is not a criminal offence let alone an imprisonable one

House of Lords and stealing public money, close enough.
Misappropriation of funds, abuse of expenses, conflict of interest regarding gifts etc, etc all fall into the same basket as far as I’m concerned.
Where did Mrs Farage get the money from to buy the house? It wasn’t earnings or a family gift.

The govt are not the liquidators, so the quote has nothing to do with your unsubstantiated claim about the govt

On a seperate note, from the quote you posted, how do you sue a company personally when a company is a body corporate?
