You people are obsessed with this guy.

I mean, sure he's done some shitty things, but this is quite the right-on lynch-mob!

Perhaps they're worried it's going to become an epidemic. In fact only yesterday I was confronted by this bloke.

I sort of agree but Wallace is bringing it upon himself due to his inability to follow advice and keep his mouth shut.

For me it's not so much the shitty things he's done but how he's behaved once called-out for them. Insulting the victims, accusing his employers of failing to stop him, linking his behaviour to autism, etc.

I'd certainly condemn his behaviour but what has made it the issue is his lashing out and everybody and everything and refusing to take any personal responsibility for his own behaviour.

Sure, I get that; but are there really no worse villains in the world this week?
<sigh> Anyway, I've given my opinion. It seems Wallace has gotten under some folks skin in some way that TO ME appears disproportionate, and they are Having Their Say ... Cult of Celebrity perhaps?

I’m not claiming he is the worse villain in the world this week.

My worry is that Wallace is stupid and easy to catch. 30 years ago he would have been unremarkable.
There will be much cleverer predators operating in the plain sight which we don’t know about.

It's no surprise that a celebrity miscreant gets hauled over the coals on an internet forum. It might have been different had he slunk away admitting his flaws, but he's used his celebrity both to do what he did, and then to try and explain it away. I don't see the harm in discussing it, if it helps expose both the initial behaviour and the 'excuses' as being entirely unacceptable: it might help people realise what's unacceptable in non-celebrity situations similar to this. It doesn't appear he's got under anyone's skin here - they've just called out shitty behaviour from someone in the public eye who's benefited massively from being in the public eye.

Or keep his clothes on apparently...

The allegations are pretty sickening and they seem to go back decades... In any case, he has made misogynistic comments witnessed by others and it is clear he has a poor attitude to women which he has blamed on his "humour" and Autism...

I think women would have found him difficult, repressive and unpleasant to work with.

Now Torode has been fired from the show. An allegation against him of using racist language has been upheld.
Not really. He has been told that his contract won't be renewed and the allegation also stated that Torode apologised and the person was not offended. So a bit of a non event really. My thought is that the BBC exec have seized upon it as an excuse to clean the stables and start over with a completely new team as Torode is tainted with Wallace whether he likes it or not.
