It’s actually a quite a well known issue. My uncle was a member of Bryn Meadows Golf club.
Brian Mayo, the owner, lost both his legs after licking a golf ball. He used to do this as a habit when playing golf. He founded the amputees golfing championship.

The Samaritans used to have a special line, called the Brenda line, to deal with men who rang the Samaritans just so they could talk dirty to women.
