An update on the Britishvolt Cambois site.
https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/former-britishvolt-site-house-data-28998765.amp
'The land - the former coal yards of the old Blyth Power Station - is owned by former Britishvolt lender Katch Fund Solutions but Northumberland County Council has an option to buy back the key site to ensure that it is used to bring good quality jobs to the area. The council has agreed to amend that option in exchange for a £110m payment that will be earmarked for job creation schemes in the county, particularly the area around the new Northumberland rail line.
The switch to data centres is a significant change '

Slightly disconcertingly the buyer is Blackstone, more known for its exploitative real estate deals than the data centre company it does own.

The saga continues. If they are bringing jobs, why the need to remove an option that will nit be actioned?

Cannot see a Data Centre providing many “quality” jobs.

Apart from a few on site engineers, all the jobs can be remote.
The site is a mess so there will be construction work for while.
Cycle under the bridge and you will find the beach carpark has a Northvolt ownership sign. That could be the prime housing land.
It depends how far their ownership stretches.

For housing, for the big main site, it would need tree lining to hide the industry opposite.

Unless they demolish Cambois, it will need trees to screen it full stop ;)

But, on a positive note, Daughter No3 (Civil Engineer) may get some work out of it ;)

My current favourite beach. I think the pipeline is finally being removed soon. The 4 steam outlets are fine, and historic.
Further up the beach, Charltons is always busy
