There you go then, why not come on here and regularly state that 2 of your 3 Brexit voting friends don't care rather than just spout off how "Brexit voters regretting it now " etc, etc.
Because it doesn't fit in with the 'gang' does it?

Surprising as it may seem this is the only place I give Brexit and politics a thought, it's good entertainment before I set off for Work.

That's an impressive misrepresentation of what I actually wrote.

Is it?

You mentioned 3 people who voted for Brexit, 1 is disappointed and 2 aren't bothered about the outcome?

Perhaps I did read it wrong?

Ah, OK, I should have said that I'm casual when it comes to the language around numbers.

"Several" would have been more appropriate.

As you full well know a lot of the ' hammering ' is down to pi$$ poor planning of what they new was coming.

Have you ever run your own business?

Done the procurement?

Dealt with the sales?

Organised the necessary paperwork.??

Recruited the staff ?

If you're told that there will be no change to the circumstances in which your business operates, for the foreseeable, then you'll carry on doing what you do already, because it works.

Businesses were lied to, told there would be no problems arising from brexit.

They were lied to by this government.

I mean you could say,

"More fool them for believing anything this shower of a 'government' says"

But i suspect you don't care about the lying, just as you don't care about government corruption right?

True. He is very quiet about the rampant corruption around PPE contracts, which the Gov lost a court case yesterday to keep the recipients of these contracts anonymous, and the handing out of peerags to those same people who told business, in fact, assured business that nothing would change.

Cherry picking facts much?

I know, surprising really given The Express gave it a 'front page' splash*.

But it's not cherry picking facts, it's been confirmed in writing @shep 'doesnt care 1 jot' about the corruption, on the corruption thread in fact.

Spoken like a true patriot eh??

*Oh no maybe it wasn't

As long as Shep has someone he can look down and punch down on then he's in gravy.
It suits his obvious aggressive nature.

Brexit campaign preyed on this and pushed those buttons.
Got the result.

Got the shitshow.

I don't look down on anyone, why should I?

Born and bred on a rough estate but Mom and Dad always worked (clearly he wasn't in jail that was just a retort to a c**k) so knew life didn't have to be a round of scams and benefits, got a trade (2 actually) and made something of myself.

Instilled the same in my own kids so don't give me that bollox!

I think the phrase you're looking for is 'fark business".

Oi, the swear filter is on lol.

Yes but you see business and trade, so very much beneath the consideration of those born into a comfortably off situations, like Jonson .

It's so dull when one could just be living off the family wealth, or taking money off mates for favours to top up the coffers.

People like Jonson haven't got a clue about business or the realities of normal life, for ordinary people, that much is clear.

The fact that people who are engaged in every day life will vote for a country 'governed' by his sort, and for a brexit that is clearly damaging business, and this country in general is the frustrating part.

Oh well best get back to minding my own business (es) I suppose.

Many of us had it tough Shep, not just you.

I grew up in violent council care homes and, when available, orphanages run by Barnardos (which, for me, was a haven). Was stabbed by a social worker off his face on drugs, losing a pint of blood (a lot for an 11 year old) and faced violence daily. Never claimed a benefit and I now have three university degrees. Not bad I would say.

This is not a 'Pity poor me' story. Just a point that I had it rough too but I don't go around the forum acting like an aggressive drunk falling out of Spoonies itching to prove his 'manliness' by getting into a rumble. This applies to you and this is what's dragging this forum down. You go off on one at the slightest hint that someone may disagree with you.

Far be it for me to tell another adult what to do but don't you think it's time you stepped back a bit and try not firing off? Using the rough council estate reason for your aggression doesn't wash with me anyway.

Try it. It'll certainly do your blood pressure the world of good.

Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
There's nothing morally superior about not claiming benefits. They're part of the workings if the society to which we all contribute. If we're getting personal, which I agree is not usually helpful, I'm employed full time, my wife is employed part time and we claim benefit on behalf of our children. We're entitled to it and I feel no shame in claiming it.

Stigmatising benefit claimants benefits nobody.

That was never the intention of the post, so please don't take it that way. It was a response to aggressive posting behaviour and the excuses used.

I have never, and would never, claim to be morally superior to anyone regardless.
