I can never get the tone of night sky right. It’s either too grey, too blue or (oddly) too black. I think it’s the biggest difference between the really good astrophotographers and everyone else. On my main monitor, which I’ve calibrated, it looked OK if not quite how I wanted it. I might buy a proper calibration tool but they’re pricey.

It wasn’t as vivid to the eye but the human eye doesn’t cope as well as a camera lens with detail in the dark plus I had to keep using my head torch so no chance for night vision to kick in properly.

I got a Calibrite profiler somewhere between 12 and 15 years ago which I'm still using. In that context it works out as not too expensive.
Okay, I've since had to pay to upgrade the software as that is the way with hardware/software compatibility but the tech hasn't really changed.

I think that the odd benefit doesn't get close to justifying them as they transgress way too many privacy laws. I hope the EU doesn't drag its heels over them and just bans them outright, or forces Meta/Rayban to install a flashing light and an audible warning that they are active.

I suspect that people using them when riding bikes could get the same benefits from something that's not designed for perverts and privacy infringers.

Good. 'Perv glasses' needs to stick so that using them is as toxic as 'upskirting'.

Suffice to say that I won't be using them for my French 'content', especially since I even had one or two diatribes for daring to use a drone in remote areas where there weren't any humans or human habitations within several kilometres.

I'd be happy to have those on a proper pair of cycling glasses...ones I wouldn't be seen dead wearing anywhere other than on my bike.
