Does it matter if the Tory party dies, same as if Labour dies, another party will come along and fill the vacuum.

If Tory party dies, it does not mean there is no centre right politics - same if Labour cease to exist, it does not mean there is no centre left politics.
After every election defeat we have media portraying the death of the losing party - its quite laughable. After last Tory win it was Labour who were dead and would never be in power again, fast forward to next election and Labour have a huge majority

The irony here is that labour are currently centre right, and dying on their feet

The trouble is that their echoing of far-right stuff on immigration is drowning out any stuff that they are doing which is truer to their roots and would appeal to more people, such as the, erm. baby steps on funded nursery places for working families. The messaging remains terrible... at least if you've got a mediocre product, you need to get the messaging right, and maybe not bang on about flags in a non-credible way.
