Reform, and the death of the Tory Party

It doesn’t look at the moment as if Labour or the Tories could win outright so a Tory/Reform coalition would suit the Mail.

I currently think that is the most likely outcome.
I also think it will be a shitstorm of epic proportions. It has to be avoided.

Farage as PM would be about as useful as Johnson was, but without the jolly cod-Greek witticisms. In any case he'll have abandoned Reform and started yet another party long before that happens.

I wonder how that would work; could it work with Farage as leader, or would their possibly be a unifying candidate for leader?

I have no facts, but suspect that many lifelong Tories might have a problem with another grifter after seeing their party devastated by BK and Truss.

There would be a lot of infighting, hopefully, but it would depend on the ratio of seats, and the Tories cannot stand being out of power. They might swallow their pride and go for a PM/Chancellor stitch up.
OTOH they could end up with a Your Party style farce.

Can’t see it working. If you take Farage away, Reform is flimsy and what is left would be quite unpalatable to many voters even if they’ve heard of them. And I think Farage will be found out big time if he gets into power.

Outside p*ssing in is more his style.

I think he would shît his pants if he did actually win. Trouble is that there is a fair chance that he will.

I think it is more simple than that. He likes the posturing and the donations.
He doesn't want to do any actual work, and he certainly doesn't want any responsibility.

Agreed.

I hope that any alliance tears itself to pieces before an election. I think it's in Farage's character to self-sabotage if he gets near power.

We need a centrist leader who can offer a clear, optimistic vision, but where would we find that?

Do you think Bonnie Blue is going to attract the average Daily Heil/Express reader?
What sort of PR image does this convey?

Where's Euro trach when you need it?
