I don't think Tice has evaded tax, he has used legal means to avoid paying the maximum possible tax. However, you did bang on about Starmer et al accepting gifts and freebies from donors Stevo, and how terrible it was and possibly even grounds for resigning (when they did nothing illegal).

If Tice, as someone who has made his entire political career talking about doing the best for working British people, has actively sought to minimise his potentially very large tax contributions, then I don't see how ethically that makes him any different from those on the left you are readily happy to bash?

As mentioned above, there is a difference between not paying tax that was clearly due and legally minimising the amount.

There seems to be a misconception on here that tax is straightforward enough that there is only one 'correct' amount amount of tax to pay in any given scenario, when in reality that is not the case. A taxpayer is legally entitled to manage their tax burden within the law and moral disapproval of that on bike forums unfortunately does not count for much here. However as mentioned, lets see what comes out of this.

There's no "misconception". I think everyone on here understands that, if you can afford to do so, there are legal ways to avoid paying tax (tax that would, after all, go to the exchequer if there were not active measures taken to not do so).

The issue here is that we have an individual with an estimated worth of £40 million who has taken measures to ensure that £600k in corporation tax has not gone into the exchequer that it otherwise would. I doubt that this is the only tax avoidance measure Tice has taken.

Now, some people are, in my opinion, justifiably irked when the likes of Amazon etc. avoid paying tax on UK sales but the likes of Amazon are not running for office or pretending to have the country's best interest at heart.

That's the problem - do you get it?

These are businessmen not lifelong politicians with no real world business experience.

They know full well what a bunch of wasteful politicians can do with yours and their hard earned.

Legal paths are there to be used as constructed by the HMRC

Maybe once I'm properly retired I should learn to read and join that august society.

Well worth it, you can sit in the library and save on heating your home during the day.

Yet you cannot see it. Rayner, to the best of her knowledge legally minimised the amount of Stamp duty she had to pay.
There has been no criminal case. HMRC are not investigating. She has not been required to pay any further money.

So she's the same as Tice isn't she?

It's almost like you have some sort of problem with gobby ginger single mothers who have a different political viewpoint to your own.

She's also not really rich enough to be entitled to use legal tax avoidance schemes, they're not intended for the likes of her to save a few grand and she needs to learn her place. If everyone started doing that sort of thing the Government would clamp down and all those multi-millionaires / billionaires might lose access to their weezes to avoid hundreds of thousands or millions in tax.

Has she not got a pension or isa?

Tax planning there.

If you're fortunate to have some savings or property, gifting to your children is tax planning
