I felt Mason was basically gibing Fàrage a platform. No real scrutiny. When Färage failed to justify of answer a question it was just skipped over - most real reporters would "that's not answering what I asked" and ask again, and again until blatantly clear interviewee wouldn't or couldn't answer.

Proper reporters don't just ask difficult questions but also pursue the answers.

Oh, for Brian Walden, as he stuck to his guns with Thatcher, asking about the resignation of Nigel Lawson. "I must press you, Prime Minister..."... her repeated stonewalling comes across as deeply evasive, as she knows that Walden knows the answer to his question.

It's really revealing that James Orr is upfront that the Electoral Commission are useless at policing political parties. Given that admission, I wonder if the Electoral Commission and police will be doing some extra-vigilant digging, not only on this undercover reporting, but now on the names bleeped out of children who have been channelling foreign money into Reform. Looks pretty clear that they are all up to their necks in it, right up to Farage.

Not surprised at all, but it's having it all so blatantly on camera that ought to be the slam dunk. If the authorities and others don't take the hint that Reform are a load of shysters breaking pretty much every rule in the book, then there's little hope for them ever being brought to book, and the ramifications for democracy could be dire.

I think it's noteworthy that the reporters were just able to hire an actor to play the American father, and that Reform obviously did nothing to check him or his fake company out. I guess if you promise Farage money, as long as the money comes, he doesn't care. Well, let's hope his carelessness has consequences this time.
