Reform, and the death of the Tory Party

Expressing gradient in ratios allows.us to mentally convert to percentages and then decide what gear ratio to use.

That aside, 1:6 is not 16.5% to three significant figures, it is 16.7%. Also, why single that out to use three significant figures, and not call a 1 in 4 25.0%?

For.consistwncy, the sign should be 17%. You should write to the council.

The FCA are adament that people don't understand percentages.
That may explain why they moved from the flatland of Canary Wharf to the flatland of Stratford, rather than outside of London.

30mph would be 3% though, 25% would be 250mph!
It just might not be a linear relationship.

Anyone listening to Mr Toad being interviewed on BBC Breakfast? Not exactly a challenging interview with lots of banging on about the establishment’, saying Restore is a one man Party (the irony) but then getting tied in knots by Nugent asking him a question about his friend calling Badenoch a Nigerian Scammer and whether he thought that was racist. I’ve never seen him twist and squirm so much somehow trying to turn it back into him being the most attacked politician and being denied protection by the Establishment. It felt like such an easy one to say ‘yes, it was out of order and I disagree with him’. It’s not like he doesn’t regularly throw people under buses so makes me wonder what this guy has on him.
I've not picked this latest scandal but in the (frequent) past party responses are normally "In a statement" or wheeling out some 2nd tier person.

I (maybe cynically) wondered if Färange is appearing now so he can go back into hiding again ready for when the Parliamentary Inquiry into £5m reports which must be soon. Now Faräge can "not hiding, appeared only 3 days ago ...".

To me, that comes across as being too cynical.
Mostly because I don't think he is that clever.

I think he was questioned about the Inquiry and started going off on a rant about Widdecombe's murder, being the most attacked politician in British history so having the right to accept money to keep him safe after he's retired, the "Establishment" and police ignoring the riks he faces and refusing to protect him. Widdecombe's murder was very timely to his "security" argument even though he had taken the money well before it happened. If I was a conspiracy theorist...
