Damn! Just Googled Dryrobes and now find, to my shame, that I aspire to own one (or two).

I have it on good authority that they really are very handy. Especially if you do wild water swimming, triathlons or suchlike.

I have it on good authority that they really are very handy. Especially if you do wild water swimming, triathlons or suchlike.

Like most things, when used as intended they're absolutely class. But when they become the fashion item du jour they look absolutely ridiculous (see also Uggs and Canada Goose jackets). I noticed a fair few folk around here wearing them (or versions of them) around October last year and had two thoughts:

1) You must be absolutely melting in there and,

2) What are you going to do when it actually gets cold?

I appreciate the North East can take some acclimatising to, but traipsing around town in a footless sleeping bag will do you no favours on that front.
